wanted software feature

– ‘slow’ (e.g., suitably flagged) sorting after a file re-name, so as to avoid accidentally changing the original file when a copy of the original file is what needs to be changed. For example, if the original file is named 5FebInfo and I go to make a copy of it to be named 7FebInfo, the system places to copy-in-progress ABOVE the original file, but as soon as I specify the target name, the new file is instantly place BELOW the original file (due to alphabetization of the names), but the system is then pointing to the original file, and if I don’t notice this and click on it, thinking that it is the renamed file, I will be editing the original file instead of the renamed file. Ugh.
