lorem ipsum (overshoot in mathematics)

An important case of overshoot in mathematics, and which is often part of the hypothesis of a theorem in Complex Variables, is that the function not only have a zero at a given point in its domain, but also have a nonzero derivative at that point (which ensures that the function ‘goes through’ – that is, overshoots – that point).
