an example of square-root simplification

Using the pattern sqrt(xy) = sqrt(x)sqrt(y), we can simplify sqrt(1000) as follows:
sqrt(1000)
=sqrt(10 x 100)
= sqrt(100 x 10)
= sqrt(100) x sqrt(10)
= 10 x sqrt(10)
